hey folks, hope you are all enjoying your summer, wherever that may be(just watched the footage of nice and smooth at the bklyn hiphop festival, wish i was there!). so i thought it would be fun to have a remix contest for the newly released "inversions of the colossus"; we've got a stellar revamp of "the glow"

from Flosstradamus, and the winning remix will appear as the b-side! so get cracking on it, have fun, do whatever you want.

monday madness, every week til "The Colossus"

so i had a conversation(ok, it was on text, but still), about MAD MEN last week. a MAJOR bomb got dropped that sunday that definitely did your head in if you are a fan at all. and we were speculating about whether betty was gonna keep that info in her back pocket, and sit on it, or if she was gonna go ballistic. and i was thinking "man, we should have a betting pool, or a contest, or SOMETHING to put some weight on how this plays out". and it hit me: why not have a contest?

furthermore, i had also been thinking about doing something fun to celebrate the box set, the new album, my general freedom from any kind of suited business overlords, and all that. and the thought came to me: why not just give some stuff away?

thus, i bring to you.........MONDAY GIVEAWAY MADNESS. every monday, from now until the release of "The Colossus", im gonna give something away, right here at RJEC.COM. some weeks it might be a singular physical item, some weeks it might be an unreleased song in mp3 format, i really have no idea exactly what, but it's not gonna be pocket lint-caliber, that's for sure. some weeks it will require participation, some weeks it won't. each week i will announce the winner, and the new item.
